Today, John and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary!! Its been an amazing ride so far. I thank God for the husband He has given me, and the best thing about it is that he is the Father of our two boys! He's the best dad in the world and the most loving and affectionate Husband!! I love you John!!! ;)

Jacob Drew is here...

The Lord gave us Jacob on November 26th 2008, at 10:57 am. He weighed 6.12 and was 19.5 inches long.

After a long and hard labor he was here!! We were so Happy and Thankful that he was healthy and had no complications...We came home on Thanksgiving day and that was very appropriate for us :) We had a whole lot to be thankful for!

Justin has adjusted so well to his little brother. He is very gentle and sweet with him, and wants to hold him all the time. He doesn't seem jealous of him at all which was one of my prayers, and were just now starting to fall into a little routine (even though the sleepless nights are definitely upon us).

We have had many visitors come through our doors, and we are so blessed to have such awesome family members and friends! We took Jacob to the doctor on Friday and he had already gained 2 whole pounds! So that was good! Doc. asked if I supplemented with formula and i was proud to say NOPE! that's all me baby! hehe ;)...

We covet your prayers as some days can be tough, adjusting to life with two little ones is work and takes getting used to...(even though it seems easy cause Jacob just sleeps all day) ;)

Today is Justins 2nd Birthday!!!!! We woke up and sang to him and had baloons on his highchair!! :) This Saturday will be his party but today we are gonna treat him to any Toy he wants and some special time with mommy n daddy!!! Then we have church tonight so we cant miss that! He'll see all his friends and cousins there ;)

We are so thankful the Lord has brought him this far with health and happiness! And we always pray that He will use Justin in a mighty way one day!

I'll post pics of today, and the party, and his special portraits a little later but for now just wanted to let the world know that we now have a 2 year old!!!!!! yay!!! :D

We had a great time at the zoo a couple of weeks ago...It was Justin's very first trip there. He absolutely loved it. He's in that stage where he loves animals. It was funny cause when we got home he finally understood that his room was kind of like a zoo, since its decorated with a safari theme. He started naming off the animals on the wallpaper when we got home "zeba", "elemen", "giaffe", "manki". It was the cutest!

In other news I had my 7 month check up yesterday and all is great! Baby and momma are progressing well! Also, we've got a busy time ahead of us with camp,church activities, Justins 2nd b-day, potty training, and not to mention getting ready for the new little one, wheeew!...so please keep us in your prayers! :)

So Monday was one of those lazy days here at home, pancakes for breakfast at 11:00 am, followed by John playing video games, me scrap booking, and Justin running around all day in just a diaper and T...but Ive gotta say it was a PERFECT day for that because it was a very rainy day. I venture to even say that it rained more today at our house than even during the hurricane. In any case in the late afternoon hours it really started to pour and we sat outside in our back porch to enjoy it...but who had the best time of all??? Justin of course!! He discovered MUD!!! and boy did he LOVE IT! I wasn't too thrilled at first, but after I saw what a blast he was having I enjoyed it just as much as he did!! So of course i got the camera out and snapped away! It was a great lazy, rainy, muddy day! :)

Well it hasn't been too long since i blogged, but theres still much to write about. I guess the most important thing is to talk about the Hurricane we just went through, I had never really been through one so i got as prepared as i could, we were safe thank God and all is well with our home. But the camp is a different story, John just got back from there and says its an ugly and depressing site. There was damage to cabins, trees and other facilities. Water leaked into the main building and got some of the merchandise in the store all wet. Other than that we are thankful that Jason and Linda's home didn't suffer any external damage and that all seems well there...It was quite an experience. The wind was strong, i had never seen anything like it, we lost power and had a little leak, also there was water coming in through our back door because of the wind force, but like i said before we were just fine :)

Its a calm day today, its not even raining anymore and I'm starting to take out my maternity clothes now that I'm 5 months along, cant believe I'm half way there! Also, i just posted new family portraits to our website for you to see! in other news, camp is now officially over, we had to cancel our last week because of Dolly so it was a weird ending to our camp season but still, 10 youth got saved on Monday!! I will blog about the Summer of 08 another time...for now i guess I've written enough!! :)

We went to San Diego California from June 11th to the 15th and had a good time! We got to see my brother who lives out there and went to Jeremy and Richelle's Wedding...It was truly a beautiful one...I particularly loved all the music that she picked out for the ceremony and the reception. It was a grogeous reception and all together a great event! Jusitn got to "dress up" and had a good time with all his cousins! For all the pics we took click here :)

This Monday we begin the 4th week of camp, so please pray that all turns out well, and that Gods name will be glorified!

CAMP SEASON!!!!

Well, camp season officialy started for us about 2 weeks ago and its been quite a busy couple weeks for sure! God blessed us with a good group of staff members and we anticipate to have an amazing summer this year! Were in the middle of our first kids week right now and had our primary camp last week. This year we've added several attractions to the camp including a sand volleyball court, new adventure games, and my personal favorite a CAMP STORE!! :D The Lord provided and we were able to purchase Camp promotional products and different apparel. Please pray for us this summer that all goes well and the Lord keeps the campers safe and sound. There's already been about 16 salvation decisions and many other personal decisions!
In other news I am now 16 weeks pregnant!!! We have our next sonogram in about 3 weeks to find out what it is!! cant wait!!! :) We also had a great time at Jeremy and Richelle's wedding in California this past weekend...(but i will blog about that one later)...:D

Ladies Scrapbooking Retreat....

This past weekend the Camp hosted a Ladies Scrapbooking Retreat. It took a lot of time and effort to organize but we are happy to say that it was a great success and Blessing! The ladies got there around 9 am, registered and had breakfast. After that, we had some fun games, songs, and the Message. At around noon we had a delicious lunch and then our scrapbooking class (most of the ladies had never even heard of scrapbooking). It was a great beginners class! The ladies caught on fast and quickly went to work! The rest of the afternoon was scrapbooking, with relaxing music in the background and even cookies and coffee!
Everyone seemed to have enjoyed it and we are Thankful that we had 45 ladies with us that day!

Mothers Day...

It was a wonderful Mothers day this year! The Church service was great and lunch afterwards was delicious! I had always wanted to be in on Mother's day when I was growing up. I couldn't wait to feel special on that day. And now I've been blessed to Celebrate it several times! I got a beautiful bouquet of pink and white roses, a card, and a new dress from the hubby, and a cute card from Justin! I also received gifts from Linda and my Suegra!!! Thanks Ladies! Sarai took pictures of Justin and I, grandma with all the grandkids, and then one of us sis-in-laws! :)I've got to admit the one of Justin and I is one my favorites EVER!!! :D

I hope everyone's mothers day was just as SPECIAL!!!

A Year-and-a-Half of pure joy!!!

This week Justin turned 18 months!!!!!!!!!! he weighs 21.5 lbs and is about 30 inches tall (yea he's a petite one) :) He's got 6 complete teeth and 2 more coming in! We have been a different family since he came along and we owe so much of our new found joy to him!! Everyday is something new with him weather its a new word or expression, or ability, and we are so Thankful that the Lord has brought him this far, healthy and happy as can be!

FLORIDA FUN!!!!

So, were back!!!! Its so good to be home! and it was so good to have gone to Florida!!

We had such a fun time!! We flew out of the valley on Thursday the 3rd and just arrived home late last night. Justin was such a trooper, he did great on all the plane rides and enjoyed looking out the window at the wing and engine of the planes. While in Florida he also got a new tooth and some new words! His vocabulary is expanding almost daily. He's in that stage where they repeat everything you say, it so cute!

Josue and Ale's Wedding was on Saturday the 5th and it turned out very nice. We had a wonderful time hanging out with all the cousins and tios, Abuelo was also there so that made it extra special too (he gave a prayer at the wedding which was very cute). The next day was the Sunday service (which i couldn't attend cause i was sick) :( but i felt better that evening and we all went to Orlando for dinner. On Monday a bunch of us went to Busch Gardens where Justin saw elephants and giraffes and lions and the bigger kids went on rides...my main objective was to take pictures so i had a good time doing that. :) Tuesday we traveled to Orlando once again and went to Magic Kingdom with Josue and Ale...yes the newlyweds!!! They hadn't left for their honeymoon yet so they went with us...that was very nice of them :) I felt a little bad about that but Josue insisted that they WANTED to be with us! hehe! It was a great time and it wouldn't have been the same without them! :)

On Wednesday we visited Clearwater Christian College (our Alma Mater). We got to see old professors and Administration and took some pictures it was a beautiful day! That evening we headed back to Lakeland for Church and dinner at tios house. Thursday we packed up, went to the mall where John met up with a good friend of his and his wife, then we finally headed home....wheeeew!! I'm tired just writing about it! Today I will unpack and catch up on work!

Florida Pics

Rally in the Valley 2008

This year's Rally was in typical fashion an amazing blessing!!! The day was gorgeous and the atmosphere was one of excitement and fun! We had about 1,000 register and 100 staff!!! God is good He brought everyone out safely and kept everyone safe throughout the day! (that's always a big prayer for these kinds of events) :)

There were 2 preaching services where Evangelist Bryan Samms gave the gospel. We are happy to report that 43 souls were won to the Lord and 26 other commitment decisions were made!
It was so much fun spending time with the Rally team as well,they have such an infectious joy and they are a hard working bunch! We miss them when they leave and cant wait to see them next year!

I cant believe how fast time flys. It feels like just yesterday that I was blogging about Rally 2007!! Justin was able to enjoy it so much more this year even though I must admit it was a lot harder running registration with an active 17 month old! :) I think I'm gonna have to hire a baby sitter for next year! :D

So far it has been a busy month!! We've had groups at the camp, a couple of Birthday parties, and a Livestock Show!! This year the Camp was able to showcase a booth where we passed out brochures and talked to people about the great opportunity to send their kiddos to a Christian Summer camp. There were many that knew of the camp and had been there years ago. There were also others that had never heard of it, so it was a great opportunity. We had a tremendous response from everyone we talked to. Many volunteers from our church made it out to the show grounds to help run the booth and for them we are thankful!!! It started on the 6th and just ended yesterday so it was a long but Fun 10 days!!!
One of the nights we went just for fun and attended the RODEO!!! I love the rodeo!!! it was a blast! and Justin really enjoyed the Horses! Last year we went when Justin was only 4 months old and to go back this year...its amazing to see what a difference a year makes! He was able to enjoy it so much more!! :)
This week we'll be making the final preparations for our Annual Rally in the Valley!!! Its on Saturday the 22nd...keep that day in your prayers as it has rendered many new lives to Christ in years past.
My next endevour is selling stuff on Ebay...I have so much that i could just get rid of and I would love to make $$$ in the process...so if there are any experienced Ebayers out there let me know how its been?? (and of course I'll also donate to good causes ;) After Rally we'll be Spring Cleaning at our house so thats where i plan to find my "junk" and try to sell it...:)
Well, We hope all is well with everyone and we ask that you pray for John's Grandmother who has been ill these days with a respiratory problem...thank you!

SO...were back from our trip, were done with the Missions Conference (which was awesome), and were trying to take a little breather here! :) We had a wonderdul time at the camp conference and learned so much. I was able to attend some sessions that were so helpful and beneficial to what I do for the camp. John and Jason did as well, and they are pumped with all the new knowledge! I thank God for His journeys mercies and for giving us a son that is a great lil traveler! :)

We've got a group at the camp this weekend and pretty much every weekend after that, so i definitely feel the "camp season" coming upon us. It gets hard sometimes cause John is gone a lot but i know God will give us the strength to make it through...plus I like to tag along with him once in a while! :)

V-day...Out of town...Missions Conference...Camp

Hello there everyone. Just wanted to quicly update on our month so far. We had our Annual Valentines day banquet last night and it was a lot of fun! I think the couples really enjoyed themselves with all the different things planed for the night. :)

Please pray for us as we head out to Louisiana tomorrow.We'll be going to a Camp Directors Conference called "tweakage" at Southland Camp. John has gone before and says they are a great Blessing, so I'm excited to learn many new things there. When we return, we'll be having our Missions conference and that should be a Blessing as well. The choir will be singing, our kids program will be performing a play and Linda, Sarai and I will be singing a song, so pray that the Lord gives us the energy to chug along and make it through this next week or so.

The camp keeps thriving! Praise the Lord! At the moment there are a group of retired ladies and gentelmen called "Sowers" that are helping with some landscaping and painting. They do a great job and it brightens our day when we get to talk to them. SO as I write this I ask that you keep us in your prayers! We Love ya'll!!!

My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job six years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and shoot the bull with his buddies, while I have to work to pay the bills. at wal-mart...

I had such a good time with justin at wal-mart this morning that I just had to write about it! He's always loved being out and in front of people, but today it was so evident HOW much he loves it!
As soon as we walked in he began saying "hi" and waving to people as we strolled on by. He would pick someone out in the aisle we were in and just start flirting, talking and laughing with them-anything to get their attention and keep it! Of course he got a response from all of them and that made him extra happy! When it was time to leave the aisle and move on to the next item on our list he would wave and say"bye" then go on to his next target. :)
When we got to the Vegetable section he was calling out for the "ball"! but i couldn't figure out where he had seen one! As i passed the tomatoes he made it clear that he wanted the "ball"!
It was so funny!! i gave him the tomato to "play" with and eventually bought it for him! (I'll be making a salad with it for dinner tonight) :)

February Fun...

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post about our upcoming month and all the plans we have for it...its gonna be a busy one and were gonna need lots of energy for it!

Justin turned 15 months in January and to see him look like such a "big boy" now has been so fun. He's very verbal and social, but has started throwing temper tantrums when he does'nt get his way... NOT FUN!so discipline is gonna be one of our main focuses this month!

John will be taking yet another trip next week...(he just came back from Nicaragua 2 weeks ago). He'll be going to Veracruz with his dad and a team that organizes the "rally's" all over Mexico. Since its there first time in Veracruz they needed some help with the logisitcs. After he comes back We'll be going on ANOTHER trip to Louisiana to a Camp Directors Conference. That should be fun! When we come back from that, we'll be getting ready for a Valentines day banquet on the 16th, and then our annual Missions Conference. Its one of the most Important conferences of the year for our church and the choir will be singin in it. It promises to be a wonderful confernce and we pray that all turns out well! Were also planning a trip to SanAntonio to visit a couple of friends and to have a good time, and there will be rentals at the camp on some of the weekends. So pray for us please! I also want to get strated on a couple of scarpbook projects that ive never done before so that should be fun for me! I also started taking piano lessons (new years resolution) and its going shall we say...ok :) I dont have much patience with myself so REALLY pray for that! hehe!

Anyway as is tradition for me to say..."Have a Wonderful February everyone!!!!!"

So a few weeks back we went to Rio Bravo Mexico (where i was born) because we wanted to visit some relatives we hadn't seen in a while, and because my dad wanted to take justin to see his farmlands and tractor! We had a great time and justin loved it out there! :)

Youth Retreat 2007 "Be Real"

Here is the link for the Pictures from this years youth Retreat that was held at the Camp. We had special speaker Matt Herbster, program director of the Wilds Camp in North Carolina. He was a great blessing to all and we are happy to have met him and spent time learning a lot from him. There were also many activities that were held during the retreat including a "winter festival", ice skating, and a Hockey game that the 180 youth enjoyed! We are so thankful that the Lord blessed this activity with Decisions from young people to "Be Real" in their walk with the Lord and to go back to their home churches with a new resolve to be used by God!

Our Christmas Season...

This Christmas Season for us was great! Busy, but great! I guess we like it that way cause we never seem to catch a break, its always one thing after another. December was no exception! In the beginning my mom had minor surgery for a vocal chord polyp. She got it removed and is doing very well now thank the Lord. We went to a very fun dinner theatre that same night and as we were getting ready Justin swallowed a PENNY!!! of course i got just a tad hysterical!!! We called the doctor right away and he said it was pretty common but to just keep an eye out for it in his poop....well 5 days later he hadn't pooped it out!!! We were so worried cause the doc said he might have to go to a specialist and in the worst case get it removed surgically!!! Well, we got to praying hard and fast that the Lord get us through that one! We had the whole church,my family and friends praying that he poop that penny out!!! 5 days later he did!!! I was so mad cause after so many days of savaging through disgusting poop John was the one that found it while i was out!!!!! To say the least we are THANKFUL for that little miracle! :)
On the 20th John and I celebrated our 4th anniversary!!! He had a few special things planned for me and he made it a memorable day! He surprised me with an I-pod and a little trip to the Island! It was fun!! Right after that was the Christmas Drama and Cantata and thank the Lord that that was a wonderful success and Blessing!
On the 24th we traveled down to my "roots"! its a little town where my grandparents are originally from near Monterrey Mexico. Once there, we had a good time walking around town taking pictures and visiting cousins and relatives. There was a Tamale feast at my Grandmas house of course and lots of gifts to open...even though Justin ended up sleeping through that part of it. Mommy did him the favor though and he got lots of neat gifts! :)
The next day we traveled back to my In-laws for Christmas day!!! My suegra had a delicious Ham dinner prepared!!! We had the Christmas story and then opened gifts!!! I got some cozy PJ's form Jim, John got a Movie and chocolates from Gabi, and Justin ni que se diga! :)

If you have read this far...wow!! im proud of you! Im almost done with the novel...just hold tight! :)
On the 26th was our annual youth retreat!!! It was the best one ever!!! Jason and John headed up a lot of the activities, I taught a class and sang, and Justin had a great time seeing all new people. It was held at the camp and some of the activities included Mini-golf, Ice-Skating, a winter festival, and a Minor league Hockey game!!! that was the best!!! There were about 180 youth there and they all seemd to have really enjoyed it.
Our new years was great too because we went to visit my dad's side of the family in Rio Bravo Mexico. They were so happy to see Justin and we had fun going to my dad's ranch. Justin got on the tractor with grandpa and didnt want to get off! After that we came home for Church that night....It is the greatest to receive the New year in church, and in Prayer! I am so excited for this new year! We have many plans and ideas that we have put in the Lord's hands to help us see through...Thanks for reading this far!!!

Hey there everyone! Its been a busy month for us! We had a Concert (for my mom's 25th anniversary of singing), my brother Aaron visited us from California, a Wedding that I sang at, Jason Anthony's 2nd B-day Party, a Special Thanksgiving service that the choir and myself participated in, and then the trip to Georgia!!! wheeeeeeew!!!

I am so thrilled to announce that Justin now walks!!! It happened on Thanksgiving day while we were up in the Georgia Mountains...It was a great moment!!! and speaking of Thanksgiving, we had a great time this year! We traveled up to Georgia on November 20th and stayed up in a beautiful cabin with Jason,Linda Jeremy, and Richelle and the kiddos of course. While up there we spent our days traveling about 45 minutes to get to Uncle Larry's Cabin, hang out there and take in the gorgeous views. Thanksgiving day was awesome as we ate good food, met some of John's cousins, and then witnessed Justin walking all over the place!!!! It was right on his 13 month anniversary :)

On Saturday the 24th we traveled 8 hours to Wilmington NC to stay the night at unlce Larry's so we could visit Grandmother Adams (johns grandma) the next day. It was such a great visit, and we were so glad to see Grandmother looking strong and beautiful! She was so happy to see Justin because last time we visited her he was in my tummy (4 months preggers)...We headed back to Atlanta and stayed in a Beautiful side of town where there was a HUGE MALL!!!! :D So, needless to say I had a great time there! On Tuesday the 27th we flew home and BOY were we ready for it!!!!! All in all Justin did great! He is a good little traveler- doesn't fuss at all being in the car seat for so long, loves plane rides and the airport where he just loves to look at all the people and wants to be part of the action! he's a funny lil kid! :)

Since then we've had no time to take a breather as we've had Church, Choir Practice, Christmas party's, We put up our tree, did lights outside and Decorations inside AND just yesterday Celebrated John's 27 Birthday!!! We had Lasagna and chocolate cake at our house after church. It was a great little get-together! Today I've been busy CLEANING HOUSE!!!! I'm tired but it feels good to get it done!

OK...so its been about 2 weeks since I posted about Justin taking his very first steps, and 2 weeks later...he keeps taking tiny steps!!!!! He figures that its much faster to get where he wants to go by crawling or holding on to the furniture!!! So, im getting a little impatient! I want to see him walk so bad!! :) Do any moms out there have advice for me??? How can I get this kid to get going!!! hahaha!

Hey there everyone! I hope all is well in your world's! :)

Its so amazing to reflect back on the year we've had being Justin's parents. I cant say it enough-Im so thankful to God for how He has kept us safe and has allowed Justin to grow in so many ways. At this point in his life, Justin is almost walking! I cant believe it! TODAY HE TOOK HIS VERY FIRST STEP!!!!! (i almost cried and was super excited!).He's been gliding along the furniture and walls for quite a while now, but today he finally dared to take his very first step, (towards a BALL of course) :) I got him back up and tried it again and agian...with everytime him taking a baby step then falling on his hiney! But it was such a wonderful moment to see! Even HE was Excited! It will be a huge milestone for him when he actaully starts walking, and for me too! Its the beginning of more independence and more running around after him im sure! But still I cant wait! He's such a silly boy too! He loves to make faces and entertain others as much as he can...and there is no such thing as a stranger to him. At this moment his vocabulary consists of words like mom,dad,atin (justin)ball,baball (baseball) Cookk (cookie),gapa (grandpa) nononono, and thi thi thi (si si si) hehe! He's very talkatative!

Were also entering the stage of more discipline and where he understands when he's doing something wrong, sometimes i feel like all i say is "justin NO" but i know thats a part of life and the sooner we start the better!

October was the FASTEST month i have ever experienced in my LIFE! It just went by too fast! I cant believe were in November already. This month we'll be taking a couple of trips and enjoying some vacation time. Have a great November everyone!!! I'll update some more later on Justin's walking endeavours! (i say it'll be about 2 more weeks for true walking to begin) :)

Today is Justin's 1st Birthday!!!!! and I just want to thank God for a Wondeful Year that we have had the privelage to share with our son. He has been the best thing that has ever happened in our lives, and he is an amazing little Boy! On saturday the 20th we had a Big Party for him at the camp and there were over 100 people there! He did great! Didn't cry once :) Of course we took TONS of pics and posted them all for you to see. SO last night the 4 Mendoza brothers (and families) were at our house having a grand ol' time watching their "beloved" Cowboys! We had a FUN time eating and talking and watching the game when suddenly the brothers began a ritualistic,excited,wacky,and hilarious walk around my house! I tell ya something gets into these guys that just overpowers their ability to think rationally during these tense close games, that I just had to catch on camera! It was a site to behold! I was on edge not only because of the game but because of the fact that Justin was SLEEPING!!!! and these boys showed no regard for it!!! The baby did somehow manage to sleep through most of the mayhem but eventually awoke and I took out the BAT! I swung at any one of the brothers that got in my way ESPECIALLY my husband!! ha ha! Anyway the Cowboys won, Justin got back to sleep, and my house was a mess! but hey.....I wouldn't want it any other way!!! I Love you guys!!! Here is the best moment caught on camera when the cowboys scored the game winning field goal!!!

Weekend Trip!

This past weekend we took a little trip to Monterrey MX. We were there mainly for a Ladies Retreat that I got to sing at, but also had some time to do a lil sightseeing...In these pic's we're in a brand new place they call Santa Lucia(kinda like the riverwalk in San Antonio). It's beautiful, with many creative fountains and lights. We had a great time!!! Monterrey is GREAT city!!! Arriba los Tigres!!!! Here's a recent video of Justin taken during our morning playtime. Please dont pay attention to me being a dorky mom in the background!! hehehe. This was the first time I actually saw him walk on the lil walker that I called "go go go", so I was pretty excited to say the least!!! Anyway, It's so amazing to see the difference that just one month can make. He's learned so many new things! The baby bable he makes is the cutest now and his personality is really starting to shine through! The video's a lil long (like 3 min.), but I hope you enjoy it anyway!!! Let me just start off by saying that i Love to Blog! its lots of fun! :)
Anyway I just wanted to write a quick note to let ya'll know that i posted some older pic's of us from Justin's birth, and the trip that John and I took in January of 2006 to Nicaragua for a youth camp...so if you want to check em' out and leave comments, feel free!
These days we've been quite busy. John's been working on getting the new camp construction project going,and that's a huge task in itself. Ive been working at home on different little things that needed to get done, and starting up with the church choir. Yesterday I had my very first Private voice Lesson that I taught...I loved it!! I also started going to some Gym classes to get this baby weight off!!! Well,I'm not sure if to even call it baby weight anymore cause Justin is 10 months old now!!! hahahah! who am i kiddin huh? hahaha! But nonetheless I've been hitting the gym hard, Ive never liked gyms too much but i love going to the classes! It reminds me of when I was in high school and college...except for much slower now! hahaha! I'm getting a lot of support from friends and family so that helps! I hope everyone has a great September! Football season is here!!! YEAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Beach Day!

Last Saturday some of us friends and family got together and went out to the beach for a day. It was fun and very relaxing! We needed a day like that. Justin had a great time playing and crawling on the sand, but towards the end of the day he developed a temp. so he didn't enjoy it as much as he could have...BUT that means were gonna have to go again to make up for it! yay! :) The guys had so much fun boogie boarding and swimming in the ocean, even some of the ladies tried it! Not me!I have a true fear of the ocean i don't know why...i just get panicky and refuse to go any deeper than a few feet in. So I just layed out, played with Justin and took pics

Life after camp season...

Hey everybody, just wanted to update on our not so exciting life after summer camp season! hehe. Its been GREAT! I have loved the fact that its been more relaxed and laid back. John still keeps himself very busy with all the new plans going on at camp, he took 2 trips right after camp season. One was to Veracruz with our youth group, and the other to Woodlands Camp in Georgia with Jason. His day-to-day work also keeps him going but there is much more time for the fam now and for painting some rooms I've been asking him to paint for a while now. :) We have a deal worked out where he paints, and I DECORATE!!! So technically I do more work! haha! yea right! I do the fun part HE does all the hard work! but it all works out in the end cause he wouldn't want me painting and I wouldn't want him decorating! haha...we're almost done, its just that Justin and I have been terribly sick these days with colds and things slow down when mom is sick, were hoping to be done today though so we could MOVE ON! Apart from that we've been doing a lot of visiting friends and family, shopping, taking walks, reading, and planning for future goals! Hope everybody is enjoying the last part of summer as well... SOAK IT UP!!! :D

Blazing a Trail...

The Summer camp season is officialy over and we have great news to report! The Lord was so good to Camp Loma de Vida! We saw over 480 kids and youth come out for camp, and about 6o salvation decisions! Each week was special and exciting as the kids learned how to "blaze a trail" in their community and local churches. The focus of each week was clear and purposeful; get the kids to realize the importance of being separated to Christ alone, and be leaders in their local churches. Along with great preachings, the kids enjoyed the pool, social games, water games, sports,crafts, paint ball, and GREAT food!!! We have the hardest working and BEST cooks in the World! :) Our staff (over 25 of them) worked hard everyday and we thank the Lord for who he provided, camps would not be possible without them!

We are glad to report that the Lord is opening Doors to buy a new property that will allow CLDV to move and expand just a few minutes north of where we currently are. There is a great vision for this new place and we ask that you join us in praying for the plans that are in the works! The summer went by so fast and we cant wait to get started on the plans for next year!

Hello Everyone :)
We just wanted to update you on Justin. He is doing SO good!!! Everything went smoothly at the hospital on Monday, and today when we returned for a follow-up visit the doctor said he was doing Great!!!! So we are very thankful, first of all to God for His grace and blessing upon us during this time, and also to all of you who prayed, called, went with us to Corpus, left comments, and gave us words of encouragement! Life is returning back to normal and Justin is already crawling and climbing and laughing out loud (he actually did that the very next day)! They say babies are resilient, and with him, that statement has certainly proven to be true!! :) Thanks again!

Hello everyone! We just wanted to stop by and ask for your prayers in these next few days...We will be going to Corpus tomorrow and Monday for a minor surgery that Justin will be having. It's not that big of a deal but he will be put under for about an hour...SO, you can imagine that we're a bit nervous and not looking forward to being in a hospital and dealing with all the drama that entails this kind of thing....We know God is in control and that this will make His Grace even more evident in our lives, but we Still need your prayers! Justin is Crawling!!!! It's been about a week now since he dared to actually crawl from a semi-sitting, semi-crawling position to a full- fledged crawl...last Saturday he took like 2 steps then he would stop...we practiced everyday and now there's no stopping him! I actually cried as I witnessed those first little crawls. I'm not kidding you can ask John he made fun of me all day for that one! I guess Dad's just don't get it huh? :) I was ecstatic even though I've heard that now life is gonna get really hectic for me since I'm gonna have to be after him everywhere he goes. That's OK with me, maybe it'll help me keep shedding all those extra pounds!!! :)

He's also now climbing up on everything he can get a handle on! As you can see in the picture...I've got my work cut out for me from now on I guess!

A Month full of Fun and Work...

Hello everyone! This month has been a busy one for us!! With all the Preperations for Camp and a growing baby we've hardley had time to take a breather...but I wanted to update quickly. It was good to have Josue with us for a few days!!! He helped us out at Camp the week he was here! Then, we had an Awesome Father's Day! It was John's very first one and Justin got all dressed up for his Daddy... A couple of days after that he turned 8 whole months! :) We have been spending all our days at the camp working and Ive already got some pictures up from the camps we've had so far...but I Plan to write ALL about the summer in the next few weeks as things wind down! Please continue praying for us as the summer progresses...We've already seen many come to Christ for Salvation, some dedicate themselves to live more godly lives, and ALL have a good time! Mid-Year Resolutions!!! :)

Hey there everyone...this is Blandy checking in and saying hi! Yesterday I was thinking about how its already June, and how another camp season is upon us, and about how fast time has flown by, and how Justin will be 8 months old in 12 days!!! I was amazed at how fast time seems to go by when you have a baby...then, for some reason, I thought MAN! have I accomplished ANY of my new years resolutions??? It seems like it was just yesterday that I made them....In thinking of all this I proceeded to find my list of 07 resolutions and checked off all the ones I had been pretty good at keeping (not many) :) then, I re-wrote all the ones I had not yet accomplished....BOY do I have a whole lot to do in the next 6 months!!! YIKES!! :) But, for some reason I suddenly felt like I had a new found resolve to get them done!! Anywyay I dont know how the rest of you are doing with that whole thing, maybe you hadn't thought of your resolutions since January 2nd...:) I encourage you to re-visit those resolutions!!! Or just make NEW Mid-Year Resolutions!!! I say those count too!!! :) Love ya'll

7 Months Old Today!!!!

Today Justin Reagan turned 7 months!!! We are so thankful that he's been healthy and happy his whole life! :D...Some things he's doing this month is walking on his walker, babbling all kinds of baby talk, sitting up for longer periods of time, eating new baby foods, reaching for everything and pushing himself up to try and crawl...I hope he gets that one soon but we'll see!!!

Jeremy's Graduation!!!

We are Back!!!!! This past week we took yet another trip to California (well actually it was John's very first time there) but nontheless, another trip has been added to our repritoire!! hahaha! ;) We went to see Jeremy graduate from West Cost Baptist College, and to visit family and friends. We left on Saturday the 5h and returned Saturday the 12th so wheew! we are exhausted...but it was all worth it! The trip went a little like this: On Sunday we visited WestCoast Baptist Church and it was truly a beautiful place, it was HUGE!!! I think it seats like 3,000 people! On Monday we went to Riverside which happens to be my old stompin grounds cause I grew up there!! We visited my old house and Elementary School and in the evening met up with friends for dinner, friends that i hadn't seen in like 10 years!!! On tuesday we traveled a few hours north to visit my brother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. On Wednesday was Jeremy's graduation. So we pretty much spent the day with him and the rest of the family (so good to see Kayleen by the way)... Thursday we met up in SanDiego and went to SeaWorld!! that was so much fun! Since Richelle is originally from SanDiego we got to meet and spend time with her and her family, they are great! Friday we traveled back to LA and took a grand tour of the city courtesy of my brother Aaron. Then that evening we went to a DODGER game!!! I love the Dodgers so that was a definite highlight for me! Better than that though was seeing a supposed "Brave fan" wearing a DODGER jacket and hat, and admitting to the fact that our son WILL be a Dodger fan like his mommy! :) All in all the Lord really blessed our time there and showed us his hand of protection everywhere we went! Im pretty sure that for now we will be stickin around here since the Summer is fast approaching and we will spend our time at the Camp for the Summer Programs. That's ok with me! I've had enough traveling for a while!! (well i wont say that we wont take an occasional trip to the Island or SanAntonio) :) But for now its nesting time at Home!! Justin's First Haircut!!!!

It was last Saturday when i finally decided to go and get Justin's first haircut done! He was born with tons of hair, and so of course it grew and grew. Some of my family members and people at church would tell me not to cut his hair until he was One because of some "old wives tale" about babies becoming far-sided or near-sided if you cut it before they turned One....Anyway! who cares! Im the one that had to deal with brushing it every day...So as soon as he turned 6 months (4/22) I thought "Im gonna do it!" and I'm so glad i did! He looks so cute and manly, it makes him look a little older and rounds out his face more. We took him to this really neat place that does cuts for kids they did a great job! Happy Birthday!!!

This month has been full of Birthday's! Technically my suegra's birthday is in March (the 30th), but Linda's was on the 10th, mine on the 19th,and Richelle's (Jeremy's gal), is on the 18th(but she's in California at the moment). So Wheew! that's a whole lot of gifts and cards! Anyway this year we all got together and celebrated them at the same time. It was lots of fun especially now that the renovation at my suegra's house is complete, and the living room is twice as big! It looks beautiful!!! Thanks for all the wonderful gifts everyone!!! :)

Hello everyone!!! Here we are again writing about our adventourous little life...:) These are some pic's of the trip we took to Veracruz last week. It was Justin and I's first time to Veracruz (justin's first time even crossing the border), and it was quite a ride! Litteraly. Riding in the back of a 15 passanger van on the roads of Mexico aint too fun to say the least! But once we arrived it was great! We were a part of a Pastor's Conference down there, John translated and preached and I sang in the services, Justin was the socialite of the trip and we got very popular because of him! jeje :) We went to services every night and went site seeing only on the last day we were there but that was OK with me cause by that time I just wanted to come Home.Traveling with a 5 month old is hard. Hello everyone! This was us at an Astros game on April 6th! My little sister Roxxy is a huge baseball fan... we had promised to take her to a game for her 16th birthday, so we went to Houston for the weekend and had lots of fun at the game despite the cold front that came in out of nowhere!! We're back from a fun-filled weekend in California! We took off on thursday the 22nd (justin's 5 month anniversary!), and got back on Monday night. It was Justin's first Airplane ride and I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but thankfully he did so good on all 4 of the different plane rides(2 going and 2 comning back). In California we went to Aaron's graduation.He graduated with a degree in Audio Engineering and Drumming. We got to see many awesome sites but more importantly, got to spend quality time with family and friends...We also got to see Jeremy! He came down to visit us from Lancaster and spent an evening with my family (He and Aaron have been friends since 5th grade). He is doing real good, working hard and almost a College grad! Well, here are some of the pic's from our little adventure!

So... last night justin slept 9 hours it was wonderful! He's actually been doing that for the past week or so but only 7 to 8 hours. But last night, wow! Another neat thing was that when John went to the crib to pick him up for his first feeding he was on his back! (he always sleeps on his tummy) so that meant that he had rolled over all by himself, and he was as happy as can be looking up at his mobile,playing with his toes. We were so excited and of course tried to see him do it again (with no luck), nope he was'nt having it...so we relunctantly gave up trying to see the roll and picked him up and started our day. He will be 5 months in just 2 days and it has gone by so fast! I love being a MOM!!!!!

This past weekend (3/17/07) was Rally in the Valley a big event that is held once a year at the Camp. There were over a thousand people and more importantly 63 descisions for the Lord were made! It was a blessed day for sure.

These last few days we have been enjoying the RGV Livestock show. It's a neat event that's held once a year in March. We've gone twice already, the first time to just walk around and enjoy the rides, and just yesterday we went to the Rodeo!! It was soooo much fun! This month has been a month of new discoveries for Justin! Here he is trying out the taste of cereal (which he did not like very much by the way). But, it was so much fun to see the look on his face and the reaction he had. A couple of weeks later we added carrots and he loved those, I guess because their kind of sweet. It' s so funny how feeding your baby a new food can be soooo exciting! Never in a million years did I think that feeding carrots to a 4 month old would absolutely make my day!!! :)

He's also started to suck on fingers but particularly his left thumb! It looks really cute but I don't want him to get into that habit. His mommy sucked her thumb till she was two, and so did some of his uncles, and my sister, so it does run in the family, but I know it's such a hassle to break them form this particular habit. I hope it's just something he's doing for fun and not for necesity!

Beach Bum already??? Justin Loved his first trip to South Padre Island. We went a couple of days ago with Jason and Linda and Jason Anthony. It was a blast!!! Justin experienced the feeling of sand on his feet, and ocean water run through his little toes. Then, he slept to the sound of the waves. It was relaxing for all of us. Hello everybody!!!! Today was a great day for us! A new sonogram revealed that there's a little BOY in our future and we couldnt be more happy!!! Everything looks great and baby was VERY active according to the sonographer lady (dont know the proper name for it) :) He weighs 6 ounces, and about 6 inches long... We are so greatful to God that all is going well. God is so faithful and we give Him Thanks for the miracle that he is allowing us to experience every single day!
